Today, our main mission was to visit Wan's (my grandma) house in Keramat, KL. But before that, we went to Pasar Tanglin (is that the name??) to get back the vegetables we left behind last time. The guy there remembered Mama and gave the vegetables to her for free (so nice~). After buying more vegetables, we finally went off. Aunt Bedah called Mama and said that she was on the way to Wan's house as well. Apparently Uncle Hatta's in Vietnam right now, so she used the driver to her advantage to get to Wan's house (as usual XD).
We stopped by at Uncle Jalil's MayFirst shop after that to give him the grocery stuffs Mama bought for him. After buying medic-oils from him, we left and finally reached Wan's house (on the way we saw Aunt Bedah's driver waiting under a tree. Poor guy). I went into the house first and greeted Wan. At first I didn't realize Aunt Bedah was there, until I saw her sitting on the floor at one corner, checking out a handphone. Even Mama didn't realize she was there.
Turns out that the blue, Nokia handphone she was holding was for Wan. Uncle Hatta got no. 5 in a golf competition and got the handphone as a prize. And since it's high-time for Wan to have a newer and better handphone (she has eye problems), Aunt Bedah gave it to her. Wan said it was better than having to buy another one since Uncle Jalil or Uncle Jali (I forgot which one...or was it someone else...?) wanted to buy one for her.
So all three of them sat and talked for a while, while we drank the coconut my mom bought back at the pasar. After that, we went lunch together to this...I don't know how to describe it, but it's like the stalls/restaurants at normal highway resting places. They only had nasi campur, but I and Mama didn't feel like eating nasi (I haven't eaten KFC for a long time T_T). But we ate there anyways since Wan was the one who recommended it (kesian pula kat dia nanti...). The food was okay, nothing special. Mama's paying the bill today. But she said it was quite expensive for a nasi campur restaurant, since she had to pay RM30 (i don't know if that's the normal price for other nasi campur restoran). Then again, they gave free sweets and bananas. No wonder why Uncle Jalil loves to go there.
We went back to Wan's house, and stayed there for quite a while. It was funny listening to Mama and Aunt Bedah talking about their husbands, especially the part where they would only listen to their friends like medicine or good restaurants, instead of listening to their own wives and/or kids.
Eg: Papa heard a restaurant called Subway, where they sell sandwiches. He said, "It's really good!" But thing is, my siblings and I have already went there ages ago XD. And Jaya Jusco behind Wan's house, Mama already asked him to come with us since there's a lot of restaurants there. He didn't want to. But then he went there with his friends and said, "Oh, there were many restaurants there!"... Yes, Pa, we know that already. We went there at the opening week. In Aunt Bedah's case, Uncle Hatta kept buying or being given many kinds of medicines, just because his friends said they're good. He would eat the first few pills. But after that, they're just decorations up in the shelves... See how funny Malaysian fathers can be?
We stayed there for like...3..4 hours?? But it was fun, though. Man, it's been a long time since we had proper family reunions. I so missed Mama's and all the aunties' united voices (especially when they're screaming/screeching/laughing XDD)
