...oh...em...GEE!!!
It's been so LONG since I'm updated with the J-music world, especially J-Rock. Vamps released 2 singles this year (which are both VERY contrast to each other..), Gackt is involved in another movie project, and Miyavi...MIYAVI!! IS!! MARRIED!!! LAST YEAR!!!!! and guess what? He has a daughter! A FREAKING BABY GIRL!! Only 4 months after his marriage..well, that's expected, but STILL!!!
*ehem* Just so you know, the reason I'm writing in capital letters (aka shouting) is because I'm really surprised, not because of jealousy, hatred bla bla bla. No, not at all. It's because I never expected him to marry so...early? I don't know..it's rare for rockers to marry in their 20s (well, for me la), especially Japanese men when they're all about concentrating on their careers at that particular age..
Anyways, all in all I'm really happy for him. Heck, his wife, Melody, is really pretty! She was a well-known J-pop artist, but retired in 2008 as she wants to focus on becoming a fashion designer. I think she's about the same age as Miyavi, which is yet another surprise, since a married couple usually has a few years of age gap (if not more..). From what I heard from their mutual fans, both seems to have many similarities despite their looks and image. And they seemed to be really happy, especially after they got their first child, Lovelie Miyavi Ishihara. Strange name..I know..but there's a reason behind the name Lovelie, which meant 'The reason of love', or something like that.
I want to post some pics of the happy family but the connection or blogger is messing up --.--+. Really pissed off..
Anyways, Miyavi has released two new songs as well (one in 2009 and another 2010). Here are the two vids respectively. Enjoy~
lol I bet u didn't think I'd listen to these kind of songs. You should have seen or heard my mp3 playlist back when I was 13 or 14! XD Ah, memories~ I think I was much happier back then with my imaginations running wild. Even Kelly Clarkson's "Behind These Hazel Eyes" kept me motivated to write my lotr fanfic. Hehe. Over and out~

Crazy days!!
A lot has been happening for the past few days. On Saturday, we went to Auntie Mas' house since she invited the whole family there. She stayed at Abang's house at Hong Kong and was really grateful for Kak Dian's hospitality there.
After all the hoo-haa there, Mama, Auntie Mas and watashi went to the An-Nuur shop to get Mama's customized 'tudung Ekin', whereas the other family members (Abang, Kak Dian, Papa, Eli, Ezhan, Kakak's family) went to Kakak's new house to plan further about the renovation there.
After we went to An-Nuur, Nanith called Auntie Mas to pick her up at school. She went to this TV9/ntv7 studio with the other kids to meet Nabil (the 2nd Raja Lawak). After that, Auntie Mas showed us the new link house she bought, probably for her children in the near future. It was quite huge; not only the height, but also the wideness of the house. Though, it costed RM500grand+
--_--|| Kakak only bought hers RM400grand, and it's 5,000 sq.ft. semi-D...
So we went back to Auntie Mas' house and saw that the others were already back. We chit-chat more and Abang invited Auntie Mas and her family to dinner with us at Tarbush, a Middle-east restaurant, at Starhill. Yes, people, Starhill, where all the perasan rich people go to (but the area around it were like hawau XD). And I'm tellin' ya...the food there were TASTY!! With the beef, chicken, kebab, dipped with garlic sauce plus with the Lemon Na' na (..ok, that's actually my drink, which is lemon with freshmint). Even when I woke up in the morning, I could still feel the food in my tummy..
The next day, Wan invited us to have lunch at her house, and Auntie Mas was invited as well. So, again, the hoo-haas. And Zahira as usual wanted to stick with her mom like a baby koala bear. After a while though, she started to play with Nanith.. I always thought Zahira is really tall for her age (which she is, actually) but looking at her next to Nanith, she looks so CUTE! (in terms of size as well)
But Kakak had a total bummer. She had to be at the office in the evening and she's really pissed off.
Anyway, this evening we sent Abang and Kak Dian to the airport. Strangely, Kak Dian ate three, THREE huge parts of roast chicken, together with the ulam + rice. Then, she ate the papaya and had the time to eat ais krim potong before we depart. And they even told us that they'd buy KFC after they checked in...it's weird to think that she eats a lot, coz she's so skinny and has low blood pressure!
Meh...so, that's all I'll have to say for now. Over and OUT! ^_^V
PS: Utada's Come Back To Me actually came out in Mix FM this morning!! ToT I'M SO HAPPY FOR HER!!!

VAMPROSE artists~~
Hm...other than knowing that SPM results will come out very soon (and me having the license P officially!), nothing much has happened to me lately... So, again, this entry will be dedicated to my fav artists.
VAMPROSE is an independant indie label of HYDE (from L'Arc~en~Ciel). There are only two groups that I've known so far that are under this label: VAMPS and MONORAL.
VAMPS consists of vocalist HYDE and guitarist K.A.Z (from Oblivion Dust). Most of their songs are sung in English (or should I say Engrish) for God knows why, but at least Hyde's pronunciation is better than most Japanese singers. Their latest single is 'Trouble'. Yes, that Power Rangers theme song...weird. XD
Even their MV couldn't get any weirder.

Their songs probably sound a bit same like some American/British bands, but are considered quite unique in the J-rock society (since it ain't too cute, too happy or too dark). Although their lyrics might not make sense (hell, it's the same as the VAMPS) but I really enjoy listening to the vocals and the loud bass. Songs that I really like from them are "Tuesday" and "Kiri".
See? Both bands are completely opposites.
Interesting facts about this duo:
Anis is a Japanese-Moroccan who speaks Japanese, English, French and Arabic. He used to be a fashion model (gasp!) and support some famous musicians performing on TV as a guitarist. He was also often involved in TV CMs songs, singing backup for other famous musicians and narration for CMs.
Whereas Ali is a Japanese-American (so it's logic that his Japanese and English are fluent). He was a VJ for MTV Japan, where he met Anis. He's currently a part of TV show Self Liner Notes on MUSIC ON! TV. He's also a radio DJ.

Personally I'd prefer MONORAL over VAMPS, just because. XD

B.K. In da house!
ugh...it's just getting worse. I'm supposed to go to my japanese class, but the flu just keeps getting worse, so I had no choice to post-pone it yet again. Tomorrow's my last driving class, but i don't know if I'll be ok...
Well, since nothing really happened to me today, let me review you to my new favourite duo:
Bennie K
Cico's raps can be funny at times like being a giddy girl and all, but she's really cool. Yuki's vocals.. are just serene. One of the best singers I've heard ever. Well, these ain't the only reasons I like them. Their musics are really different than any other Japanese artists. Some of their songs are latin-inspired, and there are a few that are arabic-like, country and pop-rock. I also like that their songs are really upbeat, encouraging and more happy-go-lucky type compared to their earlier songs (which were a bit depressing and angry-type). Other than that, CICO can really dance!
I'd recommend listening to their albums Japana-rhythm and The World. I'm gonna put up some of their songs in this blog.

They met while YUKI was in Los Angeles undergoing voice training with Roger Burnley. They made their debut in January, 2001 with the single Melody, released on the For Life Music label.
Bennie K's songs usually combine Japanese and English — their English is more fluent than most Japanese singers. Their 4th album debuted at #1 on the Oricon Album charts.
