Warrior~ huh!

Oh thank you TS Entertainment for releasing a not-your-typical but rather in-ya-face boy band!! XD Introducing B.A.P (Best Absolute Perfect)~

At first I wasn't fond of the song, but after a while of listening and realizing how talented they are, it's just stuck in my head for a while that I sometimes say "Warrior~ huh!" under my breath randomly lol. I mean really, this is the first rookie group that got me hooked for a long loooooonnngg time (and I still am :P).

I gotta say how proud I am that they are of 90's babies line. Although not one of them is the same age as me (which is a shame TT.TT), I'm glad that two of the members are older than me (by a year), whereas the others are freaking - and I mean FREAKING young! Below are the members' info~

Leader and rapper of the group, Bang Yong Guk, born in 30th May 1990... And may I say he is my BIAS!! X3 When I have a bias in a group, it was almost never a rapper, but in B.A.P I pick him. And this is the first time I've been goo goo ga ga over a guy in a long time(last one was, er, I forgot ^_^||). I mean, let's be honest, he's not Brad Pitt or Orlando Bloom. But really, he has the BIGGEST smile I've ever seen, he can be handsome yet cute X3 (without trying too hard) and he has such a lean body~~ And believe me, I have never gone after macho men before, so this is my first :3 (okay i'm gonna shut up now and provide real info about him),

Known as B.A.P's Inversion Rapper (whatever that means), Yongguk was previously in an underground group called Soul Connection (don't know if he's still in the group) and went by the name of Jepp Blackman. This explains why he's very experienced on stage even when he was featured in Secret's Song Ji Eun debut single "Going Crazy". At that time I wasn't head-over-heels yet but I was really impressed by his talent. Then came his solo debut single, "I Remember" featuring B2ST's Yoseob and was co-produced and written by Yongguk himself. A similar feeling with "Going Crazy" but still has its own character. And if that wasn't enough, he started a sub-unit group called Bang & Zelo together with *drumrolls* Zelo, the maknae of the group!

Real name is Choi Joon Hong, he got the name Zelo from the god of rivalry in Greek mythology. Born in 15th October 1996, he's the maknae (youngest) and rapper of the group and is known as B.A.P's 15-year-old Genius. If you listen to him rapping in "Warrior" (2nd verse) he can rap reeeaaalllly fast, and he's also really good in dancing. Also, he's the tallest member in the group with a height of 182 cm (and he's still growing... what the fish?!), and I guess he's well-known as the Giant Baby among the fans XD. He's very cool for his age and is probably the most famous one in the group (especially among noonas, meaning older female fans), which I'm not surprise because - like any other maknaes - he is uber cute. I mean look at his kitty eyes and cheeky smile, even without doing aegyo (which he's actually not good at lol) he's already cute as a pie! X3

As I said before he and Yongguk formed a sub-unit group Bang&Zelo and released a single "Never Give Up". The song was no doubt in contrast with "I Remember" and "Warrior" and was very happy uplifting song that just wants to tell everyone to never give up on their dreams.

Next one to appear in public is none other than Himchan~

Kim Him Chan, known as B.A.P's Instrument Ulzzang, was born in 19th April 1990 and is the sub-vocalist and rapper of the group. In case you don't recognize him in the video, he's the scary one rapping at 0:58 (no, really, he was known as "the scary one" among the fans XD). As I said before, he's an ulzzang (a person well-known for good looks and always take selcas...just Google it if you don't know what it means) and was in the BESTNINE along with Block B Jaehyo, MBLAQ Lee Joon, and CN Blue Yonghwa and Jonghyun. So yes, you could say he's the 'visual' of the group, but that doesn't mean he ain't got talent. He's very known back in his school for playing many traditional instruments and is now majoring in traditional arts in Korea National University of Arts.

He is currently the MC for MTV's "The Show". A lot of fans complained that Himchan has such a small part in every B.A.P's songs, but I guess the company has a reason to do that. I mean hey, he might become an actor or be in variety shows in the future. Only time will tell. Oh, and I also love him because of he's dorkiness and narrow-mindedness even though he's the second oldest in the group XD.

The next three didn't appear in public before the group's debut, but that doesn't make them less talented.

B.A.P's Brain and the main vocalist, Yoo Young Jae, was born in 24th January 1994. Why the Brain? Because he likes to talk and discuss in details and is quite the mature one in the group (no offense to the older ones. I'm just saying this based on their reality show lol) There's not much about him that I can find apart from that he's well known for his baby fat (he does looks kinda chubby, but that's ok because he's still cute~). He's also well-known for being "the guy who can't see straight" among the fans because of his long fringe that covers his eyes XD.

Moon Jong Up is B.A.P's sub-vocalist and main dancer and was born in 6th February 1995. Also known as B.A.P's Dancing Shindong (the last part I really have no idea what it means), he's also known for his muscular body (you probably can't see much from the pic above *sigh*). He's the one who, with Zelo, 'shot' each other's head at the beginning XD. Like Himchan, fans complained how small Jongup's parts were in their songs, but by looking at their performances, it seems as if he likes to express himself through dancing than singing. He's also quite expressionless in the interviews lol.

Again, not much can be found from him other than being cameos in Secret's MVs "Shy Boy" (with Yongguk and Himchan) and "Starlight Moonlight" (with Yongguk again) and also Bang&Zelo's "Never Give Up".

And last but not least is B.A.P's lead vocalist, Jung Dae Hyun. Born in 28th June 1993, he is well-known as B.A.P's Busan's Wonbin... I don't see the resemblance between him and Wonbin lol. He's also known as "the good-looking one" among the fans (he doesn't agree though as he thinks Himchan is more handsome). He was the last one to join the group, but a good thing too as he is considered as the 'hidden card' of the group.

Apparently the other members spent time together for over a year but they only get to know Daehyun only for seven or eight months. Hence, he's still a mystery to the other members (aka they still don't know him as much as they know each other). He's also known for his "no comment" slogan in their reality show, but he explained that he was actually worried that his Busan accent might get in the way, so it's easier for him to say "no comment" XD.

I wasn't planning to post about them actually but seeing how my friends are active lately in updating blogs, I figured I should too. And what better way to post about other than my current craze~ XD They're currently promoting their follow-up song "Secret Love" featuring Song Ji Eun herself, so if "Warrior" is not your taste, then I'd highly suggest you listen to the other one 'cause it's too cool and chic for words~ Here's the MV (mostly their backstage footage) and ciao! :D (*Warning* Too many cuteness in this video. Hee~ I haven't updated this blog for a looooonnnng time. Well, it's not that I don't WANT to update this blog - I just DON'T KNOW what to write is all.. Since I'm always never have any ideas what to write, I'll just let the music describe how I'm feeling right now :3. Of course songs will not describe 100% of what I am feeling, but I'm just gonna leave it at that coz I'm really not into exposing my feelings to everyone right now. Enjoy the music y'all~



I think I've mentioned this before, but 2NE1 is my FAVOURITE!!! <3 This is definitely something new from them! Since I was once a rock fan (or to be precise, J-Rock fan), I really love this concept. At least it's something different from the typical clubbing/electro songs. Plus, the lyrics hold a lot of meaning. Sure we sometimes feel ugly or we're just not good enough. Even Teddy (ze producer) said he might've felt very down when he wrote this song. Why? You have to read the english subs to really understand what I'm saying, ya get me??

Anyways, like I said as of today I am not gonna reveal how I really feel like at the current moment, like before (unless I suddenly feel like it and wanting to get out from the shell for once. *gasp* 'get out from the shell'?? ain't that laruku's song??? WHOOO~~ The boy band fever is back in k-pop! ;D *ehem* Now let's start with one of my fav groups~

MBLAQ

This is just..wow O_O. Didn't really expect they're gonna promote a ballad/R&B song. Still this sounds really good. G.O's vocals + Lee Joon's ballet dance + Seung Ho's n Thunder's charm + Mir's rap = LOVE!!! XD The emotion they've shown here is also impressive. I think all of them can be actors one day (well, Lee Joon already is an actor XD).

Oh SALSA! (as TK would say XD) It's so great the boys just keep improving from one single to another..heck I've fallen in love with them even more! One thing about this vid though...it's hurting my eyes with so many bright lights *_*||.

Teen Top

You probably have or never heard of them, since they're still new to the industry. They may not be as good looking as MBLAQ, but their talents are sick! I like Niel the most since his vocals are really unique~ (and I don't know why but I think he dances better than the others) Not to diss the others though, they're talented too but yet to show them. I'll be watching these guys from now on! :D

GP Basic - Game

Introducing new Korean girl group~ XD This youngest girl group just debuted on 13th August with their MV (music video), Game.

Notice how young these girls look? Well get this - all the members are 14 years old except for the youngest, Janey (in case you don't know which one IS the youngest) who's only 12 years old... Dang, that's a strange age distribution O_O. Anyways, I'm sure many of you are shocked by how young they are, since the song sounds *ehem* too mature for their age. For me though - well, I'd rather judge their live performance than their age. Here's their debut performance today at SBS Inkigayo:



Yup. They're good as I expected d(^_^)b. Personally I feel that the theme of the song (from the sound to the dance moves) is inappropriate for them. Still, they're very talented, and you have to admit that Janey looks really cute when she raps XD. Plus, these girls are quite pretty, especially when they didn't wear much make-up for their performance.

Many netizens said these girls should "go back to school", well I say this - keep rockin' it girls! You're already at par with your seniors (if not more talented), just need a little more training and you'll be there ;)

PS: Seriously, these people should give them a break. It's just a debut, and we're not sure yet if they're gonna do another promotion. They might take a break for a while. Who knows? :S

Of baby-sitting, induction, and visa

Saturday

At the house we were left with Ashaz. Even though I didn't have to help my mom cooking/making Malay desserts n such, I was still left damn tired just by carrying this little rascal ==_==||. His mouth is still not talking, but his hands and his feet just won't stop moving... Even while we carry him he'll try to climb up more! Haiya... But a baby is a baby, and is cute. So I is love him XD.

That evening we finally went to my sister's new house in Shah Alam, where we helped her with the preparations for the doa selamat at that night (a house-warming as well). After the whole thing finished, our maid, Kak Tum and I went to Aunt Mas' house to stay overnight there. Kak Tum wanted to go out with their maid, Kak Su on Sunday, whereas I wanted to attend the induction on that day as well. You know, just to spend time with my friends...probably for the last time.

Sunday

I woke up at 7.30, realizing that my friends involved with the induction were already at INTEC. So I arrived late and missed the opening speech. I had a bit of a wardrobe malfunction because none of my friends brought the yellow jersey for me (which is supposed to be worn by the sophomores)...well, it was my fault that I didn't tell them earlier. So I wore a black t-shirt...turned out that the juniors also wore the same thing. So I looked like a junior myself lol. I thought I'd be really embarassed with all the others asking, "Why aren't you wearing the jersey?" But I guess I didn't care at that time, because all I thought about was trying to have a good time with my friends.

Although I was really looking forward to spend time with them, it turns out that most of my housemates are busy with their own jobs ie some became facilitators, some were taking care of the checkpoints, and a few others didn't come. Thank God Nazirah, Amoy, Yani and Hathira were with me...otherwise I'd be bored to hell! Actually, I spent a lot of time with Nazirah for God knows why. Maybe because we were in separate classes this sem and couldn't talk much, so it's like our revenge for that time.

So yeah. Again, I disappeared in the middle of their post-mortem, because Aunt Mas and the family were already waiting for me in their car. So I just told one of my roommates to send my regards to the others. Though, I wish I could've at least took a photo with them...

After that, I followed Aunt Mas and the others to Shah Alam Mall. Alif (aka ADAM) and Nanith wanted to change their mp3s...or whatever they wanna do over there. We went to Giant to get something for Alif before he went back to Segamat and ate at Pizza Hut. I have to admit...I'm a really slow eater, especially among my family >_<||. But if I eat too fast, my chest would hurt and I'd feel like I'm suffocating. *sigh* I guess I am a black sheep in my family.. (dah la anak accident. anak paling pelik plak tu --_--||). When we got back, Aunt Mas was thinking of letting me and Kak Tum stay there for another night. But it turned out I really can't -- Papa already made an appointment with Fiona to collect our documents and go make our visas straight away.
Monday

Woke up quite early, if I do say so myself XD. We reached the InterStudy's office first to check, sign and collect our necessary documents. Honestly, I'm really grateful we applied through this agency, because when we reached the UK visa application counters, many of the hopeful students weren't really prepared with the necessary documents and such. So my sis and I were relaxed compared to the others....yet so bored. Because we had to wait for like less than 10 people until it was our turn. And for every person's turn, it felt like it lasted for eternity! (Like I said, most of them weren't prepared) but by the time it was our turn, it was only a few minutes and all that was left was taking a picture.

Picture...dang. I'd understand if they ask me to put my thumbs on the scanner, or maybe one hand but...four fingers (right hand first, then the second), then both of the thumbs?? and before the officer told me to do that, she told me to look up at the cctv-like camera for 5 seconds... This is waayyy freaky... But my mom said those who are doing the US visa must have a more hard time than us because, well, you know why. With all the prejudice and racism, plus with their intolerance to muslims. Dang. After that...weird...visa application, we went to Sogo, had lunch, and bought some clothes.

Tuesday

Today, we went to my sister's house again. Apparently she had to go to the office in the afternoon and she asked us to look after her kids. We did but, I think we just slept most of the times with them XD. We were freaking tired with all the travelling on the road from morning 'till evening. So yeah, that's just about it from us.

It's about a new girl band called "Miss A" under JYP's sub-label AQ Entertainment. Before they debut in Korea they were called the Chinese Wonder Girls. But after the members changed (1 of them was Lim who recently joined the Wonder Girls; and 2 left the group), the group doesn't look like their former title after all. Their song is really different than any other girl groups out there. It's not techno and it's not too upbeat. Plus we can hear their vocals very well without the autotune. I highly recommend this group to those who don't like typical girl groups :D

Next is Tae Yang from Big Bang! AAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! His new song is just CUTE!! Watch the MV with the eng subs and u'll know wat i mean XD <3

Code-V, originally known as Bless back in 2007, made a comeback recently. Back then they failed to gain much attention (heck, I don't even know if they have a single MV back then). Yes, I admit they're not as good-looking as other boy bands. But their vocals really stands out. I've seen many groups debuted recently, but this group managed to stand out (for me at least).

0:36 - Nallo, main vocalist I think.. (both of 'em have worked with SG Wannabe member Lee Seok Hoon and Blue Wind Soul)
0:50 - Taemin, leader (no, not Taemin from SHINee!! lol He used to work as a vocal trainer)
1:04 - Jaewon, rapper (the maknae)
1:06 - Sol, vocalist (was a singer/songwriter for an indie rock band)

I don't have a fav member in this group (hey, it's a compliment. I like every one of 'em!), but I like Nallo's smooth vocals~

Note: If you have listened to Insomnia by Craig David or Wheesung (whichever version you like), you might hear similarities with this song. I think it's just a coincidence that they have the same style...ah well. At least their vocals are great :D.

...Well, no need to write their names here lol. There's nothing outstanding about this group actually..though I'm amazed with Hyo Lyn's talent. Even onstage she seems to stand out from the rest since she contributed most of the vocals.

Anyways, I've been watching almost all of their Magic performances that I can stumble upon, probably for the past few months :P. I just love watching the leader~ (the blonde one), she seems very energetic. She's probably the main dancer in the group as well.

Oh dear Lord, how long have I not update this blog XDD.

First of all, I would like to thank my friends in college for giving me one of the most memorable birthdays in my life... At midnight, one of my housemates asked me to go out with her to get some water from the dispenser, but I asked, "Ada apa-apa ke??" Coz I was shit scared that they'd throw flour and/or eggs at me. She said no, so I poked my head out of my room first to see what the others are doing, and they were eating some laksa or something. The coast was clear, so I followed her. Then, when we went back into the house, it was dark inside and I saw a few lit candles on a cake, with my housemates singing Happy Birthday song... I seriously wanted to cry, but I like I said, air mata I jual mahal... At that time as well, my class rep wished me as well through sms. Such a sweet guy X3. And not forgetting my classmate Faezah as well.

Then, the next day, my classmates and I were doing our thing before class as usual. All of the sudden, the whole class started to sing Happy Birthday. It was...quite embarrassing, but I was really happy.

Although I didn't get any presents from them, at least they remember my birthday, and they wished me with sincerity...unlike someone --__--||

Talking about him... my feelings for him have decrease. Why? Don't know...maybe it's because of his insensitiveness towards a lady friend that ticks me off.. What I do know is that I still care for him as friend, and sometimes i see him as brother... But lately, we don't send sms-es to each other like we used to. Probably because both of us are always packed with schedules. I'm cool with that of course.

Haha..I feel so stupid back then when I started to get to know him. I thought, "Oh wow, we're already so close in one day. We might become best friends or something." Ya rite... Reality check, I'm not good in talking with guys, and he's always busy yada yada yada. Plus, I never have a best friend..so what makes me think that I can be best friends with an opposite gender, when I never have a best friend with the same gender??? So to hell of daydreaming about our friendships...I got better friends, I got family that rocks my world, and nothing can change that.

What made me decide on the title of this post...is that I have a really weird dream, but I'll only write the conclusion of that dream... His gf told me to stay away from him. Hm...is that a sign? Probably. Heck, I'm not that close with him anymore. So why the bloody hell would I want to stay away from him when I'm already away from him in the first place?

All of this somehow made me realize why I meet this guy who likes me (LIES), but already has a gf, and why I never have a bf in my entire life... I kept asking Him to give me protection after most of my prayers. That made me question - is this the protection that He has given me? If it is, then I'm grateful that He is protecting me from this unknown world called 'couple'. No matter how much my heart screams to have a partner, I just hope He would protect me from this until I've finish my studies, or when the time comes for me to get a husband. This is for my own good. I repeat, THIS IS FOR MY OWN GOOD!!

Oh, I almost forgot. Thanx again to my family who celebrates my birthday last night. We went to Jake's near...Bangsar or Damansara? Haha, I'm bad at geography :P Ooh! And I got a journal from my sis. And it's neat~~ XD Thanx again to my old friends. I miss you guys TT_TT

I don't know which one I like the best...'cause both MVs are just great!! The song is definitely different - Teddy (the composer) did well in experimenting with reggae beats. And I admit that they're not one of the best-looking girl groups..but at least they have one thing other groups don't have - plastic-free faces, attitude and PURE talent!! Minzy is not ur typical cute Maknae (which I like), Sandara definitely slapped her antis on the faces, Bom is attractive, and CL just ROCKS!

But, like any other MVs/groups, there are still some imperfections. I wish that they didn't digitalized Sandara's voice in her parts - it just makes me wonder how her voice sounds like :( And I wish Bom's face would just relax and not be too tensed in her parts. I think they concentrate a lot on CL, but I don't blame them since it is their first single. I hope the YG composers would concentrate on them as a group in the future.

Whatever it is, I wish them the best, and hopefully they would win #1 in every K-charts as well as winning the best rookie/new group. ;)

The highest epik of all time..

May I say how much I love this dorky trio? Epik High, people!! XD *cheers*

I guess I don't need to tell you who they are since you can just go to wikipedia or google. But let me introduce each member. From L to R: DJ Tukutz, Tablo (leader & rapper), Mithra Jin (rapper).

There are many reasons why I like this trio. Firstly, they're not your typical mainstream artist. Secondly, they voiced their thoughts freely through their music without filtering their words and didn't bother if theirs songs were banned on tv and/or radio (there's always YouTube). Thirdly, they're just plain dorks. Fourthly, they're not afraid to experiment with music. And finally, they're 100% authentic and talented.

They just released a new album called, "Map The Soul". I guess it's kinda like a continuation from their "Map The Human Soul" and "Remapping the Human Soul" albums. And the songs - well, the title says it all. But for the project of this album, they went all the way by distributing the book+album themselves just to cut off the price for their fans...aww, they're so sweet!! X3 And even better, the album is bilingual to cater all of their fans worldwide. But the thing is, you can't find it in any music stores. The album is sold exclusively on their website @ www.mapthesoul.com and payment can only be made via credit card (VISA, MasterCard)... Hm, it sounds like as if I'm promoting them XDD. Oh well~~

Oh, and they're having an online showcase at the website as well. They'll perform all songs on the album (except for instrumentals, skit, and bonus track) right in their recording studio.

I fell in love with the boys when I listened to their "Pieces, Part One" album. It was "Usan (Umbrella)" that caught my ears, where they're featuring Younha. And notice that they have done a lot of collaborations with underground artists, which I think is very interesting and uncommon in Korean music industry. So, for those who'd prefer quality of music over looks, this is the group for you!

Finally...the YG girl group has finally shown up!! Looks like Yang Hyun Suk decided to keep the members to 4 instead of 5. Well, who cares, coz they ROCK in this CF with Big Bang!! And here's the full version of the song:



From left to right (and from youngest to oldest): Gong Minji (supposedly the best dancer in the group), CL (Chaerim) the rapper, Park Sandara the one who sings the intro, and Park Bom the one who sings the chorus (no, they're not related, just happen to have the same family name). The group's official name is now changed to "21 (2NE1)", due to the same name with another artist, "21 (toanyone)". Well, we can't blame Yang Hyun Suk since he's a busy man
